Angela M. Lovelace is an accomplished financial professional with a track record of excellence spanning over two decades. She has held key leadership roles in prominent civil rights, social impact, and advocacy organizations.

As the former Chief Financial Officer at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Angela displayed exceptional acumen in managing the Accounting Team and overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. Her responsibilities encompassed the preparation of monthly financial reports, conducting thorough financial statement analysis, devising budgets and providing crucial support to executive leadership and governance.

Before her tenure at the Lawyers’ Committee, Angela served as the Vice President of Finance & Administration at the Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights and the Leadership Conference Education Fund. In these capacities, she effectively supervised day-to-day accounting and financial operations, acted as a proficient financial manager and analyst, and collaborated extensively with the board of directors, committees, senior leadership and project managers to ensure smooth financial operations.

Angela’s expertise extends beyond conventional finance and accounting. Her versatile background includes grants administration, payroll management, benefits administration and general human resources.

As a testament to her commitment to the community and the nonprofit sector, Angela holds the position of treasurer for a nonprofit organization. She has been recognized as a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP), demonstrating her in-depth knowledge and dedication to the sector.

Angela Lovelace holds an impressive academic portfolio, boasting a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. She earned her BSBA degree with a concentration in accounting from American University, solidifying her foundation in financial management.

With her well-rounded experience, extensive qualifications and passion for promoting financial stewardship, Angela M. Lovelace continues to make invaluable contributions to organizations and causes she holds dear.
