LOWELL — Ashley Filipp has spent her entire career in the nonprofit sector, rising up through the ranks of the YMCA to become senior executive director of Minnesota’s YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities.

Last year, as her family looked to return to the Northeast, where she began her career, the opening of the executive director position at Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell immediately caught her eye. Filipp said she knew this was where she wanted to bring her nearly 15 years of nonprofit management experience.

“The Girls Inc. mission really deeply resonates with me, a mom of two girls, and so I firmly believe that all girls should have every opportunity to thrive,” she said. Read more.
